Usain Bolt in the NFL? He’s thought about it, and apparently even been asked about it, but he’s not interested.
Bolt told the Dan Patrick Show that apparently people have reached out to him over playing in the league, but the violence and hits turned him off.
“I used to watch it when I was younger,” Bolt said, via Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk. “The hits guys would take kind of turned me off. I never thought about going but I’ve gotten offered and people have asked.”
It was unclear what kind of interest Bolt was talking about. Perhaps a few people within the NFL put out feelers to see if he was interested, but he probably hasn’t been the subject of any sort of formal approach. You can see why people would ask, but unfortunately, Tony Dungy’s dream will have to remain just that — a dream.
