NFL Picks Week 4 – Del’s Selections

On Thursday, Doc Brown posted his Week 4 NFL picks.  If you look at Del’s picks this week you might be inclined to think he copied the Doc on almost all games straight up.  However, with a six-pick lead in the SU category, I can assure you that’s not the case (no offense, Doc).  It’s just one of those weeks where a lot of match-ups across the league look pretty one-sided.  Fear not, followers of the Doc and Del rivalry — there’s still plenty of differences against the spread to wrap your brain around.

For one, I just can’t see the 49ers getting blown out again.  I think Atlanta will beat them because they’re one of the toughest teams in the NFC at home, but after firing their offensive coordinator I think San Francisco will try to open things up a bit more and should stay in the game.  The Raiders are coming off a loss to the Cardinals.  The Cardinals are not very good.  The Texans lost to a desperate Cowboys squad last week and I see them getting back on track.  And finally, I just don’t have any confidence in the Pats being able to win on the road.  They haven’t shown they can do it and until they do I have a tough time picking them when they’re somehow favored away from home.  Onto the selections:
