Week 5 was one to forget for Del, and we can only hope it ends up being the low point of the season. Unfortunately, Del has gone ice cold in his locks of the week after coming out of the gate looking seemingly unstoppable. That has to change in Week 6.
Here are the picks, with some analysis after the sheet:
(ATS = Against the Spread, SU = Straight Up)

The only game that popped off the sheet at Del this week is the Vikings laying four at home against the Chiefs. This just seems like a horrible spot for Kansas City. For starters, they’re coming off a brutal upset loss to the Bears at home. But that wasn’t their biggest loss last week. Jamaal Charles, the Chiefs’ best offensive player by far, suffered a torn ACL and is out for the season. As if that wasn’t enough to doubt whether Kansas City can come out inspired, the Vikings are coming off a bye and have had an extra week to prepare. I’d be very surprised if the Chiefs managed to pull out a win with all of that going against them.
Some other notes: My initial reaction was that 10 points seems like too many for the Packers against a pretty good team in San Diego, but Green Bay is 5-0 against the spread this season. They’re bound to have a letdown at some point, but I’m not going to get burned by trying to anticipate when it comes.
The Jaguars seem to be knocking on the door every week, though a loss to the Buccaneers was disappointing. Still, did anyone watch the Texans against an extremely ill Matt Hasselbeck last week? I’ll take just about any team getting points against Houston right now.
I was tempted to lock the Jets in at -6, and I still may. I’m always a fan of siding with good defenses coming off a bye, and the Redskins could be in for an emotional letdown after hanging with the undefeated Falcons last week and coming up short in overtime.
