Controversial foul call on Neymar overturned upon review
A controversial foul call in Friday’s World Cup match between Brazil and Costa Rica would have awarded Neymar a penalty kick, but the foul did not stand after the play was reviewed.
With the score tied 0-0 in the 81st minute, a Costa Rican defender reached out and made minimal contact with Neymar inside the box. The Brazilian star reacted by acting like he had been dragged to the ground.

While that dive from Neymar wasn’t quite as bad as the one we saw in the Portugal-Morocco match earlier this week, it was clearly an embellishment. Fortunately, video replay exists for situations like that.
