Diego Maradona had to be taken to the hospital to receive medical attention after celebrating too hard during Argentina’s win over Nigeria at the World Cup on Tuesday in Russia.
Maradona was seen being carried out of his luxury box at Krestovsky Stadium after the match.

ESPN’s Diego Cora later reported that Maradona was taken to the hospital to receive medical attention.

Maradona’s behavior throughout Argetina’s 2-1 win received attention. He was seen celebrating wildly after Lionel Messi’s goal, then he flipped the double bird after the winning goal, and he was also seen dancing with a woman in the box. Many were worried about his condition given his behavior.
Odd behavior from the legendary soccer star is nothing new. Four years ago he was caught on video slapping a reporter. He has endured struggles with drug abuse, including longtime addictions to cocaine.
