Jermaine Jones scored the tying goal for the US against Portugal in the second half on Sunday, and it was on a shot that came from well outside the box. The US were just moments removed from a corner kick when Jones stunned the entire Portuguese team, including goalkeeper Eduardo, with a perfectly placed strike.
Jones’ goal was the first of his World Cup career.
Eduardo may have been screened, but it looked like he simply had no chance. All Portugal could do was watch it go in.
