French soccer star Kylian Mbappe will be donating money he earns from this year’s World Cup to a good cause.
Kylin Mbappe had a day to remember on Saturday, scoring two goals in France’s 4-3 victory over Argentina that sees the French advance to the quarterfinals. Prior to the game, Mbappe announced the bonus he receives from his team reaching the quarterfinals will go to charity.

The money will be received by the Premiers de Cordée association, which helps children with disabilities play sports. The gesture speaks to the character of the 19-year-old Mbappe, who has made quite an impression on the association’s director as well as the children it aims to help.
“Kylian is a great person,” director general Sebastien Ruffin said, via ESPN. “When his schedule allows him to, enjoys getting involved with us. He is very good with the children and always finds the right words to encourage them. Sometimes, I even feel like he enjoys playing with the kids more than the kids themselves.”
The two goals Mbappe scored against Argentina give him three for the tournament, two behind England’s Harry Kane, who leads all scorers with five. Leading up to the World Cup, Mbappe was seen as a potential breakout star. He has lived up that billing thus far.
