Lionel Messi got uncharacteristically physical with an opponent during a preseason friendly between Roma and Barcelona on Wednesday.
Messi got into it with Roma’s Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and headbutted his opponent. Then he put his hand on Yanga-Mbiwa’s neck, though he did not appear to squeeze.
Both players received a yellow card for the exchange. Messi remained in the match and scored a goal to make it 2-0. Barca won 3-0.
