Angela Rypien and Taijuan Walker are boyfriend-girlfriend
They’re not quite at Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi levels, but Angela Rypien and Taijuan Walker would probably produce some incredibly athletic babies if they ever decided to have children.
Rypien, the daughter of former Washington Redskins quarterback Mark Rypien, and Walker, a top pitching prospect in the Seattle Mariners organization, are the newest athlete couple. They have been boyfriend-girlfriend for at least a few months based on what we can tell from their social media accounts.
Rypien plays quarterback for the Baltimore Charm of the “Legends Football League,” which you know best as the league formerly known as the Lingerie Football League. She is listed at 6-foot and 149 pounds on the Charm’s website. Her stats for the most recent season were 16-for-36 for 152 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions. She also rushed for a touchdown.
Walker is a former first-round pick by the Mariners. He was drafted 43rd overall in 2010. He signed with the team and began pitching in the organization as a 17-year-old in rookie ball. He started off last season at Double-A, moved up to Triple-A, and even pitched 15 innings with the M’s last season. His career minor league numbers include a 23-26 record, 3.48 ERA and 400 strikeouts in 372 innings.
You may recognize Walker’s name because he was mentioned consistently during the David Price trade talks. The Mariners are so high on him they said they would not trade him even for someone like Price.
While Walker is getting ready for spring training, Rypien actually was doing some media work. She appeared as a guest on Jim Rome’s show on Showtime this week and got some good wishes from Tai:

They spent the holidays together and have been close recently, going to the Seahawks-Saints playoff game, hiking, and much more:

Rypien and Walker have been together since at least October, which is when Tai made his first appearance on Angela’s Instagram page. Many of the pictures she’s shared of them have been with them locked at the lips:
They’re a cute couple and definitely seem very happy together, as you can tell from all the PDA.
