College Summer League Team Offers Terry Francona Managerial Job, Arcade Tokens

Terry Francona stepped down as manager of the Boston Red Sox Friday, but he won’t have to wait long if he wants another gig. Per NESN, the Laconia Muskrats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League have offered Francona a managerial job.

The Muskrats are offering Francona a job managing their team from June-August. They’re even willing to throw in some perks to sweeten the deal. The package includes:

    – $6,000 salary for the summer
    – 25% discount at Burrito Me
    – 25 tokens at Funspot arcade
    – Personal parking space at Robbie Mills Field
    – Free membership at the Laconia Athletic & Swim Club
    – Living rent free with a host family

Honestly, I really don’t see how Tito can pass up this wonderful opportunity. Compared to the last time an independent team offered a star a job, these perks are fantastic. Heck, I might take that gig just for the arcade tokens. 25 arcade tokens? Shoot, I’d be busting up that Ms. Pacman machine for days!
