I agree about them taking the division. 1-8, they have one of the best National League lineups I've seen in a really long time. For each spot in the lineup they probably have one of the top two or three hitters in the league, minus the 5 spot with Martin. I took him with my second pick in my fantasy draft. But I have to say, the timing of this announcement is pretty dumb, although I do want to give him the benefit of the doubt. Do we know if he was speaking to reporters...maybe one of them asked him a question about his future. It would be nice to see the entire quote and any possibly questions that were asked that solicited this response before we pass judgment. Either way, I would much rather have him for 1 year than not have him at all. I think he bring alot to the club, and the way they are playing right now, they look like they'll take the division.
