Marlins’ Christian Yelich jabs Kenny Stills for kneeling during anthem
There was some Miami professional athlete-on-athlete crime on Sunday.
Kenny Stills was one of four Dolphins players to take a knee during the national anthem prior to the Dolphins’ game with the Seahawks Sunday, following a trend started by Colin Kaepernick during the preseason.
During the game, Stills made a major mistake when he dropped a long bomb that should have gone for a clear touchdown.
Christian Yelich, an outfielder for the Miami Marlins, commented on a video of Stills’ drop and called it “karma” for the receiver kneeling during the anthem.
Too worried about kneeling during the anthem #karma https://t.co/Qznzf373bJ

Players not standing for the national anthem has been seen by many as the ultimate sign of disrespect to the country, though those protesting are doing it for specific reasons like bringing attention to some social injustice they have seen. Still, this tweet from Yelich is a perfect example of just how outraged most of the American public is over the gesture.
