Rougned Odor gets ground ball stuck in his jersey (Video)
Houston Astros third baseman Matt Dominguez reached on a fairly unique infield single in the sixth inning of a loss to the Texas Rangers on Monday night. Dominguez hit what looked like a routine ground ball to Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor, but the ball somehow got lost. It ended up in Odor’s jersey.
Fortunately, this play was ruled a single. It would be pretty cruel to give Odor an error considering the ball took a nasty hop and somehow found its way up his shirt. If he had his top three buttons undone like Mike Napoli wears his jersey, I’d say he deserved it. But in this case, there was nothing he could do.
How bad are the 12-27 Astros? So bad that they can’t score a run even when a ball gets caught in an opponent’s jersey.
