Clippers announcer Ralph Lawler is a real character.
During Wednesday’s Miami Heat-Los Angeles Clippers game, Lawler and commentator Michael Smith joked about Chris Birdman Andersen’s tattoos when the Heat forward came to the free throw line. It’s nothing new for announcers to talk about Birdman’s tats, but Lawler took it a different direction. Making light of all of Birdman’s ink, Lawler suggested the block machine get some tattoos on his knees since those are bare:
Lawler man, love that guy. He calls a clean game and adds in some shtick without being too overwhelming. And he’s hilarious. Remember how stunned he was to find out JJ Barea was married to Miss Universe? That was great. Maybe Birdman will hit him up for some advice on designs.
