Draymond Green is sick and tired of hearing the criticism of Kevin Durant over the former MVP’s decision to leave the Thunder for the Warriors. On Thursday, he decided to stick up for KD with some persuasive thoughts.
Green, who was one of the main players to recruit Durant to the Golden State Warriors over the summer, went off on players like Paul Pierce who are still talking negatively about Durant’s decision. You can see his comments as shared by Bay Area News Group’s Anthony Slater:

Green makes a point that some people are finally starting to see, but one that has only recently become widely discussed. That is the concept of an athlete as the CEO of his own company.
LeBron James was one of the athletes who recently began treating himself like a company and made moves according to what would help his personal brand rather than what was best for his team or teams. Darrelle Revis in the NFL has done the same. The problem is fans are usually less forgiving and understanding of this mentality because their loyalties lie with their favorite teams above everything else, and that includes their favorite players.
And since Green referred to him specifically, here’s what Paul Pierce said about Durant originally and what he said this week.
