Gregg Popovich rips Spurs for ‘pathetic’ performance despite win
Gregg Popovich ripped into his San Antonio Spurs after Monday’s game despite the team beating the Dallas Mavericks 96-91.
Pop called his team out for an “awful” performance and said on multiple occasions the Spurs were “pathetic.”

The Spurs may have won the game, but they had some sloppy turnovers and poor execution in fastbreak situations. It’s that sort of play that likely had Pop upset.
San Antonio still won its sixth in a row while the inferior Mavs dropped their sixth straight.
Pau Gasol, a two-time champ with the Lakers who is in his first season with San Antonio, put the attitude from Pop in perspective.
Pau Gasol, you played for Tom Thibodeau in Chicago so you probably heard post-win tirades like Pop's tonight, right? pic.twitter.com/b63I71J6VF

The admission from Gasol that the Spurs did not enter the game with the same vigor as they would for other opponents seems to confirm Pop’s postgame comments.
