Kobe Bryant not ruling out Lakers pulling off upset over Warriors

Kobe Bryant

The Golden State Warriors are rolling. The Los Angeles Lakers? Not so much. So we all know what is going to happen when the two teams get together Tuesday night, right?

Kobe Bryant isn’t willing to concede just yet.

After the Lakers fell to 2-11 on the year with a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, Kobe said you never know when his team is going to put together a solid performance.

“I’ve seen stranger things happen,” he said, per Baxter Holmes of ESPN.com. “We’ve been playing like s—. We might go up there and we might play like gangbusters up there. You never know.”

Lakers coach Byron Scott was slightly less optimistic. When asked about his team’s next game, Scott simply laughed.

“That’s my thought right now,” he said. “They’re the best team I’ve seen in the league and it’s not close … . They’re the best team I’ve seen in a while.”

Scott had some very harsh comments for the Lakers after their loss to the Phoenix Suns last week. How did they respond? By losing two more games. The Warriors, on the other hand, have looked so good that even one of their most heated rivals recently paid them a compliment. It’d be a major surprise if LA somehow handed Golden State its first loss of the season.
