Celtics’ Marcus Morris apologizes for smacking ref on rear
Marcus Morris is saying “my bad” for one of the odder incidents of the season.
The Boston Celtics forward took to Twitter on Tuesday to apologize for the incident where he smacked a referee on the rear after being ejected from a game against the Toronto Raptors last Saturday.
“Sorry @NBA for smacking the ref a– after getting ejected,” Morris wrote in the tweet. “I see other refs took offense to it. My apologies.”
Morris, who is averaging 13.6 points a game this year, was thrown out of the 110-99 victory after he got into it with Raptors swingman CJ Miles in the final seconds. Official James Williams promptly sent Morris to the showers after he kept jawing, and Morris responded with the hard pat on Williams’ behind.

Morris, 28, did not face any additional punishment from the league for the incident, but this is starting to look like a rather odd Morris twins thing.
