A popular online NBA personality now has to send out over 10,000 apology letters to Philadelphia 76ers fans after being proven wrong by the time.
Rob Perez, best known for running the popular @World_Wide_Wob Twitter account, said last August that he would eat his bet ticket on air and mail a 500-word apology to every Sixers fan who asked for one if Philly defied his expectations and won 43 games this season.
If the 76ers win 43 games I will eat my bet ticket on air and mail a 500-word apology to every Sixers fan who asks for one https://t.co/9vK00iYLB3

On Monday, the 76ers beat the Denver Nuggets 123-104 for their 43rd victory. They seem in line to easily surpass the 43 wins platform, too.
Perez is making good on his promise and set up a signup form for 76ers fans to request an apology letter from him.

After an hour, he said he had received nearly 10,000 requests. Perez will be sending his email letter from a humorously named “didnttrusttheprocess@gmail.com” address.
Perez is also on the lookout for a reaction from Joel Embiid, who has been waiting to pounce on the writer for quite a while.
