Spurs fans name newborn twin sons Duncan and Parker

A San Antonio couple showed their Spurs pride by naming their newborn twin baby sons Duncan and Parker after two of the team’s biggest stars.

Jon Paul and Crystal Dennison met when the two worked together at Spurs game in 2007. When they found out they were going to have children, they decided a Spurs tribute was in order.

Paul and Dennison chose to name their children Duncan and Parker after Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, who have won three championships as teammates and combined for 17 All-Star Game appearances.

“It kind of started off as a joke,” the proud father told KENS5 in San Antonio. “We said it at lunch one day and everybody laughed. And then we got to thinking that we really actually liked the names a whole lot. They’re really cool names.”

Manu Ginobili can’t be too happy about this development, but he has to understand his last name doesn’t work as well for a first name.
