Stan Van Gundy proved on Tuesday night that the best way to reach NBA players is by cussing.
Okay, that’s not really the lesson we learned, but it’s still a funny thought to ponder.
TV cameras were filming Van Gundy as the coach spoke with his Pistons players prior to the last play in Detroit’s stunning 105-104 win over the San Antonio Spurs. Van Gundy could be heard motivating his players and using an F-bomb.
“We just form a f—ing wall,” was Van Gundy’s strategy for defense. “That’s all we do.”
Whatever they’re doing is working, because the Pistons are 6-0 ever since ditching Josh Smith. Keep doing what you’re doing, Stan. And just be happy the cameras caught your F-bombs in that context rather than the way Tom Brady got busted.
