David Beckham has new tattoo of wife Victoria’s name on his hand

David-Beckham-Victoria-BeckhamDavid Beckham is a man of many tattoos. It seems only right that he should have a few of them that are dedicated to his beautiful wife Victoria.

A seemingly new tattoo was recently spotted on Beckham’s right hand. We can clearly tell by this photo that it wasn’t there over the summer. And wouldn’t you know, it says his wife’s name in pretty cursive letters.

Unlike the other tattoo he has of Posh Spice, this one probably isn’t going to cause a stir among schools in the United Kingdom. Then again, the other tattoo is typically hidden unless he takes his shirt off to thrill the ladies. The one on his hand kind of has to be more tasteful.

Johnny Manziel has new Drake OVO wrist tattoo

Johnny Manziel Drake OVO wrist tattoo

Looks like Johnny Manziel is even closer to rapper Drake than some of us realized.

We knew that Manziel was a big Drake fan, but he made his allegiance to the Canadian rapper permanent by getting “OVO” tattooed on his inner wright wrist this offseason. OVO stands for “October’s Very Own,” which is Drake’s birthday month and the name of his recording label.

The new wrist tattoo was visible on Saturday during Texas A&M’s 52-31 season-opening win against Rice.

Manziel has been wearing Drake’s OVO gear for several months and called meeting the rapper the highlight of his offseason. When he returned to Twitter in April after a brief self-imposed ban, he did so by quoting Drake lyrics. He also says he learned the most from Drake and felt he related most closely to the rapper during his tumultuous offseason.

The relationship goes two ways; Drake gave Manziel props for the way he handled SEC Media Day in August.

Below are a few more looks at the Johnny Manziel wrist tattoo:

Hope Solo has a chest tattoo above her left breast

Hope Solo chest tattoo

Hope Solo got a tattoo in a pretty visible place last year, but somehow that escaped me until I saw her speaking on the ESPN Title IX documentary “Branded.” Solo’s tattoo is on the left part of her chest above her left breast. It’s pretty long, wide and contains several lines, though the contents of the words are unclear.

Solo has had the tattoo since at least last September, which is when she was seen showing it off to some of her soccer teammates:

Larry Sanders has word ‘recieve’ misspelled on new tattoo

Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders appears to have joined a club that has a very low membership rate and a poor reputation. That would be the misspelled tattoo club.

Sanders posted a photo of his new ink on Instagram over the weekend. From what we can see, the tattoo artist forgot to follow the whole “i” before “e” except after “c” rule that we all learned in grade school. Naturally, his followers began pointing out the mistake. Sanders later followed up with a picture of himself that was captioned as follows:

“Ummmmmmm….ain’t worried bout nothin”

A misspelled tattoo certainly isn’t the end of the world, but I’d be pretty embarrassed if I was Sanders. It almost seemed like he didn’t even notice, otherwise you would think he’d acknowledge the error when posting the picture or not share it at all. Now, if he somehow shares another photo that proves our eyes fooled us like that time we thought Kevin Durant’s tattoo was spelled incorrectly, I’ll be completely shocked.

John Wall added a massive owl tattoo to his torso

John Wall owl tattoo

Someone call Washington Post columnist Jason Reid and tell him to get his laptop out, because John Wall got another tattoo.

Wall caused a controversy this summer when it was revealed that he got a bunch of tattoos on his chest despite previously saying he was remaining ink-free to keep his image clean. The addition of tattoos to his body led Reid to question whether Wall was mentally mature enough for the Washington Wizards to invest in him with a longterm contract (they did).

After starting with some big tattoos on his chest, Wall expanded on his ink throughout the summer. He got a “great wall” on his back, and now he added an owl to his right side. You can see the wall below:

Seattle Sounders fan gets Clint Dempsey’s face tattooed on his neck

Clint-Dempsey-SoundersClint Dempsey made his Seattle Sounders debut on Saturday, and his new biggest fan may have already been established. The US soccer star came over from Tottenham and was a major signing for the MLS. Was the move big enough to warrant a neck tattoo? That’s debatable.

There are athlete tribute tattoos and then there are tattoos of a player’s face on your neck. One Sounders fan decided to go with the latter and take the concept of rooting for your favorite player to an entirely new level.

Unfortunately, this is not the first horrible tribute tattoo we have seen. Whether it’s Davis Love III or Stephon Marbury, fans have some interesting ways of showing their dedication to a particular player. There’s just something about the neck tattoo that makes it that much more disturbing.

Detroit Lions WR Chaz Schilens got a massive tiger tattoo on his back

Chaz-Schilens-tiger-back-tattoo

Detroit Lions wide receiver Chaz Schilens recently got a massive tattoo on his back, and the only things missing are Mowgli and Baloo. We have to assume he was going for a “The Jungle Book” theme, because he opted for a tiger over a lion and we hope he’s not showing support for the Cincinnati Bengals.

According to Paula Pasche of The Oakland Press, the tattoo took 24 hours total to complete and had Schilens in the tattoo parlor on three separate occasions. While I don’t really understand the significance of the jungle-themed ink, I suppose it’s a good thing that the design isn’t nearly as horrifying as this NBA player’s huge back tattoo. That’s pretty much the only positive I can say about Schilens’ new addition.
