The Old Dominion Monarchs pulled off the shocker of the week and possibly the season on Saturday, upsetting No. 13 Virginia Tech 49-35 to get their first win of the season in remarkably unlikely fashion.
Quarterback Blake LaRussa was a big part of the win, and his proud brother took to Twitter after the victory to make a pretty inspiring statement.
They told my little bro he couldn't play D1. Blake LaRussa took a walk-on spot, earned a scholarship, and just upset #13 #Hokies with 494 passing yards and 4 TDs. Don't let anyone tell you what you can't do. #CollegeFootball pic.twitter.com/9R7vhZK263

Amazingly, LaRussa didn’t even start the game, entering for the second series. From there, he went 30-for-49 for 495 yards and four touchdowns and no interceptions, shocking the country in the process. It’s easy to root for a storyline like that unless you’re a Hokie fan.
