Dan Bailey reportedly drawing interest, asking for lots of money
Kicker Dan Bailey thinks he has a lot of leverage and is reportedly ready to exploit it.
With several teams around the NFL dealing with high-profile kicking failures in Week 2, interest in Bailey, released by the Dallas Cowboys at the end of preseason, is said to be high. According to Jordan Schulz of Yahoo Sports, Bailey remains unsigned due to his financial demands.
Per a league source, there is only one issue right now with Dan Bailey: He’s asking for a lot of cash. As @AdamSchefter reported, Bailey has turned down four offers. Bailey is the NFL’s second-most accurate kicker but at what price will he settle for seems to be the only question

Schulz alludes to an earlier report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that four teams have made offers to Bailey and have been rejected. He has a long and elite history of success as an NFL kicker, and is banking on that resume combined with some desperation on the part of an NFL team to land a new job. The Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings both had major problems with the kicking game on Sunday, with the Vikings’ situation in particular drawing a lot of attention. It’s unclear if either team has reached out to Bailey.
