Giants officials never got chance to visit with Jason Pierre-Paul

Jason Pierre-Paul

New York Giants trainers and team officials made a trip to South Florida to visit Jason Pierre-Paul on Tuesday, but they apparently never got a chance to meet with the star defensive end.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Giants officials left the Miami area on Wednesday without having met with Pierre-Paul.

What does that mean? It’s hard to say. You certainly have to wonder if Pierre-Paul’s injury is a lot more serious than some have made it seem. Assuming he was still in the hospital on Wednesday, that means the 26-year-old has spent four nights and counting in a medical treatment facility. That wouldn’t be necessary for some minor lacerations or even a broken hand.

As we shared with you earlier, Pierre-Paul isn’t the only NFL player to injure his hand in a significant fireworks mishap over the 4th of July weekend.

If Pierre-Paul is dealing with possible nerve damage as one report indicated, there’s a good chance the injury is not minor. When all is said and done, JPP could be facing a lot more than a few embarrassing internet memes.
