Panthers DBs dub themselves Thieves Ave., install sign in locker room
The corner of the Panthers locker room occupied by their defensive backs has a new nickname: Thieves Ave.
The unit, which led the NFL in takeaways during the regular season, even has a sign verifying it.

Which leads us to today’s professional-looking plate, which, according to safety Tre Boston, came in the mail unsolicited from a fan in Connecticut.
“It said to the residents of Thieve Ave,” Boston said. “It just showed up. I promise you.”
Courtney Rivera’s old sign migrated to the locker of cornerback Lou Young, whose locker is separated from the rest of Thieves Ave.
I suppose when you knock the Legion of Boom out of the playoffs, you are entitled to your own moniker.
