Rex Ryan was fined $100,000 by the NFL for dropping an F-bomb on the Pittsburgh Steelers after Sunday’s game.
The Jets head coach was upset with Pittsburgh safety Mike Mitchell for jumping the victory formation moments earlier, and he cursed in the Steelers’ direction as he approached midfield for the postgame handshake.
Ryan’s fine was so great because he is a repeat offender; this is his third such offense.
Ryan was fined $50,000 for flipping some Dolphins fans the bird at a 2010 MMA event, and he was fined $75,000 for yelling an obscenity at a Patriots fan during a 2011 game.
