Terrell Owens reportedly owes $250K in unpaid taxes
It sounds like Terrell Owens still has some serious financial problems, despite what his publicist may want us to believe. Owens reportedly owes a quarter of a million dollars in unpaid taxes from two years ago.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the federal government claims TO owes $244,391.52 in unpaid income taxes for the 2012 tax year. Owens signed a contract with the Seattle Seahawks in 2012 but was cut before the season and made just $4,300. As TMZ noted, he must have had some other sources of income to rack up a tax bill of that magnitude.
This is not the first time TO has had tax issues. He reportedly paid off a $430,000 tax lien last year that he had racked up from 2005 to 2009.
But that’s not all. Owens’ estranged wife Rachel Snider — whom he shared a solid several days of marriage with — said last month that she is going after alimony payments. Snider had previously accused TO of only marrying her so he could obtain a $2 million loan for a home purchase.
Less than two years ago, Owens was ordered to work at Goodwill after he missed child support payments. All this stuff can’t be made up, right?
