In our gossip hungry society, all it takes is one small item to get people buzzing. As a result, people like Kim Kardashian and Miles Austin reportedly took extensive steps to avoid being seen in public at Game 6 of the NBA Finals but the National Enquirer still got the scoop on them. The point is that when you’re a public figure, there’s a lot of interest in your daily activities. Our latest evidence comes from an extensive piece written by A.J. Daulerio at Deadspin regarding Erin Andrews’ status as a reporter for ESPN. Daulerio says ESPN is grooming Jenn Brown as a potential replacement for Andrews whose contract is expiring. Towards the end of his post, Daulerio added the following rumor about Erin Andrews and Aaron Rodgers:
Because the latest [Erin Andrews] romance gossip circulating around the Bristol cafeteria right now involves not Maks [Chmerkovskiy], but Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The two were spotted by other ESPN people last week drinking (closely) at the bar underneath Boston’s Liberty hotel.
And just like that, your latest Erin Andrews dating rumor is born. As Daulerio noted, many people were speculating about the relationship between Maks and Andrews who were partners on Dancing With the Stars. To the best of my knowledge, Andrews has never admitted to having a relationship with any professional partner (for all we know she hasn’t had one). I guess we’ll just have to stick EA insider Jimmy Traina on this one, though he’ll probably be met with the same denials issued by most athlete/celebrity couples. See, the problem if they play the “we were just out drinking” and “we’re just friends” card, is that couples like Rihanna and Matt Kemp ruined that line; they repeatedly said they were just friends but it turned out they were really together. Deny all you want, people will believe whatever they want to. I still say that Andrews owes it to Daniel Nava to go out on a date with him.
