There was an interesting poll presented during the Comcast broadcast of the Giants Cubs game. Hot Karaoke GirlsThey asked whether or not people wanted Barry Bonds to break the record. The results: 80% said no while 20% said yes. Recently at FanHouse:

Hmm, $44 million for Juan Pierre, and $50 million for Gary Matthews Jr., Eric Byrnes should make a pretty penny, even with Torii and Andruw on the market as well.

    Lou went with the lefty, Ohman, but I wonder how it would have been if he had brought in Carlos Marmol and let Barry deal with that 95 mph slider.

    Let me start by saying i am not a baroid fan but the 1st homer (#752 for career) was really impressive…… if you havent seen the replay it landed on sidewalk over the right field part of the stadium

    Nick, according to the game story in the Chicago Tribune, that’s the first home run hit on Sheffield (named after a Chicago industrialist, not the jerk) this season.

    Much more than I can say for the second which barely squeaked out of the park…boy did Barry make Lou look bad — both homers came off lefties!
