MLS star Marco Pappa was hospitalized with a stab wound last month following an incident with his girlfriend, and authorities are still trying to determine exactly what happened.
A law enforcement source told King 5 in Seattle that police found Pappa bloody with a stab wound inside an apartment with Miss Washington USA Stormy Keffeler. Pappa was rushed to the hospital for surgery, and the two reportedly gave differing accounts of what had happened. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
The incident probably isn’t going to help Keffeler keep her Miss USA crown, as she was reportedly already in danger of losing it after she was arrested for driving while under the influence last April. An officer claimed Keffeler, a former member of the Lingerie Football League’s Seattle Mist, was intoxicated and driving on two flat tires when she was pulled over.
Pappa has gotten into some trouble of his own off the pitch, as the former Seattle Sounders star was suspended in July after also being arrested for DUI. He has since been traded to the Colorado Rapids.
