Sydney Leroux and boyfriend Dom Dwyer got married in private wedding
Sydney Leroux and boyfriend Dom Dwyer got married in a private wedding last month, the couple publicly revealed on Valentine’s Day.
Leroux, a star on the US Women’s National Soccer Team, sent a few tweets on Saturday that hinted at the union between her and the Sporting KC forward.

She then linked to an article on People where she made the announcement public for the first time.
“Juggling our careers and relationship is very difficult, which is why we decided to wed privately in January,” the pair said in a statement to People. “We wanted to announce our marriage at an appropriate time when we were together and at a time that suited our families. We also wanted to make sure that we told all of our close friends and teammates before we announced it publicly.”
Leroux and Dwyer met in 2013 and began dating last year. Leroux went from posting plenty of risque photos on social media to going fairly quiet. Then in December, she shared a photo of her with Dwyer for the first time on social media, which was a huge step towards announcing their relationship.
Apparently they moved pretty quickly, because the world only learned about their relationship two months ago, and they were married last month. People says the two bought a house in Kansas City and plan to have an official wedding after the Women’s World Cup this summer.
