Ron Burgundy interviews Peyton Manning (Video)

Will Ferrell has been working overtime to promote “Anchorman 2.” He had the commercial with Dodge, and he’s been appearing around the country in character as “Anchorman” star Ron Burgundy. Ferrell even hosted a newscast in North Dakota as his alter-ego.

On Tuesday, he interviewed Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning as Burgundy before hosting SportsCenter in character. The results were predictably awesome. I almost lost it when he asked about Broncos mascot Thunder and said he had his eye on that beast for a while.

Here’s his hosting work on KXMB in Bismarck:

Will Ferrell was a security guard at Staples Center named ‘Ted Vagina’ (Video)

Will Ferrell was at the Staples Center for the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night, but the actor was not in attendance as a casual fan. He was a working man. As you can see from the video above, Ferrell joined the “red coats” security team at the Staples Center and was stone-faced as he kept an eye on the crowd. That was just the start of it.

Ferrell may have had a serious look on his face, but fans probably had a difficult time taking him seriously when his name tag read “Ted Vagina.” Check out this that photo Richard Deitsch shared on Twitter:

Will Ferrell does player intros for Bulls-Hornets game (Video)

Will Ferrell is no stranger to joking around in the sports world. He’s shown up at USC practices and helped with Halloween pranks, and he once showed up at a minor league baseball game pretending to be a pitcher. This time he took on the familiar role of introductions announcer, a role he also held in Old School.

In New Orleans to film the movie Dog Fight with Zach Galifianakis, Ferrell did pregame introductions for the Hornets and Bulls. He certainly left most of the players confused, though some of the guys, such as Emeka Okafor, seemed to enjoy the show. Others were more of a buzzkill. The video was pretty entertaining.
