Adam Jones robs home run with unreal catch at WBC (Video)

Adam Jones catch

Adam Jones pulled off an incredible catch in the World Baseball Classic Saturday night in front of his hometown fans that helped the US beat the Dominican Republic.

The outfielder was playing center for the US when his Baltimore Orioles teammate Manny Machado blasted a ball to center field. Jones went back and over the fence at Petco Park in San Diego to rob the home run:

That kept the score at 4-2 in favor of the US in the bottom of the 7th. The next batter, Robinson Cano, hit a solo home run to make it a 1-run game. Andrew McCutchen added a 2-run double the following inning to make it 6-3, which was the final score.

The US now advances to face Japan in the semifinals of the event on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium. Japan has gone 6-0 in the event and taken first in both of its pools. Puerto Rico and the Netherlands will meet in the other semi.
