Alex Bregman received attention for the symbol he had on his hat during Game 3 of the ALDS between his Houston Astros and the Minnesota Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis on Tuesday.
Bregman, who is Jewish, had a Star of David on his hat. The star was to the lower right part of Bregman’s cap, just above the bill.

Bregman wearing the Star of David, which represents Judaism, comes as Israel is at war following an attack by terrorist group Hamas in Gaza on Saturday morning.
As of Tuesday, there were believed to be over 1,200 Israelis dead, over 3,400 wounded, and over 200 people abducted as a result of the Hamas attacks.
Bregman had a strong game for the victorious Astros. He went 2-for-5 with two RBIs, including a solo home run in the fifth. Houston beat Minnesota 9-1 to take a 2-1 series lead.
