Alex Cora reportedly getting three-year deal from Red Sox
Alex Cora is getting a three-year deal to manage the Boston Red Sox, according to a report.
Cora, who is currently a bench coach for the Houston Astros, has been a hot candidate for all the managerial openings across baseball. One report said this week that he will be the next Red Sox manager, and that the move would be announced after the ALCS.
The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal says it will be a three-year deal.

This is just worse news for the Nationals, who dropped Dusty Baker and were said to have interest in hiring Cora.
Cora played 14 seasons in the bigs, including stints with both the Red Sox and Nationals. In Boston, he would be replacing John Farrell, who was fired after the season.
