Boston mayor Tom Menino urges fans to be responsible while Red Sox chase ‘World Series Cup’
This is the time of year when Tom Menino, the mayor of the city of Boston, really shines. The man who is commonly referred to as “Mumbles” among the internet community never fails to amaze the public with his lack of sports knowledge when one of Boston’s teams is pursuing a championship.
With the World Series set to begin at Fenway Park on Wednesday night, Menino has urged Boston Red Sox fans to act responsibly while supporting their team in its quest for the — I’ll let him take it from here.

Surprised? You shouldn’t be. This is the same Mayor Menino who once said “KJ” and “Hondo” were the two players who drive the Boston Celtics. Last year, he proudly sported a Vince Wilfork jersey and referred to him as “Wilcott” before referencing that the Patriots have played well while “Gonk” — aka Rob Gronkowski — is hurt.
