Bruce Bochy: Buster Posey feels ‘fine’ after being hit in head by pitch
After a scary moment during Monday’s game between the Giants and Diamondbacks, early indications are that Buster Posey is doing well.
In the bottom of the first inning, Posey was hit in the head by a pitch from Taijuan Walker that registered 94mph on the radar gun at AT&T Park. The Giants catcher was able to leave under his own power after a visit from manager Bruce Bochy and the trainer. Here’s video.

Posey would obviously not return to the game and received further examination from the training staff. Walker was booed when he came up to bat following the incident.

After the game, Bochy indicated for now Posey feels fine, but did add he monitored overnight and checked out again Tuesday.

Players who have talked to Posey said he seems fine. He's confident he's ok, but Giants will be cautious. Have seen delayed reaction before.

Hopefully, all of the news from here on out on Posey is of the good variety and the Giants will surely be cautious with their star given the circumstances. That said, Bochy also mentioned when he was a catcher he’s not sure the reaction after getting head in the head would’ve been the same.
Bochy on his days as catcher: "I don't know if they would have checked on me if I would have gotten hit in the head."
