Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua took some heat for his social media post about Sam Darnold after the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl LX victory.
Late in Sunday’s game, once it was clear the Seahawks were going to win, Nacua posted Darnold’s name on X, along with a crying laughing emoji. Nacua’s post was taken as laughing at the fact that Darnold was going to quarterback a team to a championship.

Nacua took some heat for the post, especially since the Seahawks beat his Rams in the NFC Championship two weeks ago. Linebacker Ernest Jones, a former Ram who now plays for the Seahawks, was among those who called out Nacua by pointing out that the Rams are at home.
Ain’t you at home. Goofy ass https://t.co/1CFlOFvc9J

Jones has taken it upon himself more than once this season to stick up for his quarterback, even when it wasn’t easy. Darnold would probably not care that much, though.
Nacua has not been impressed with Darnold for quite some time. Ultimately, trying to be dismissive of the quarterback as he wins a championship probably is not going to go well, even if Darnold did not have the best game in the victory.
