Clint Frazier hits back at Yankees broadcaster for critical comments
New York Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier was not happy about what a team broadcaster had to say about him this week.
YES Network’s Michael Kay, who serves as the Yankees television play-by-play guy, criticized Frazier for an inability to get healthy during an episode of his self-titled TV show on Monday.

The comments immediately drew backlash, as concussion issues are what have kept the 23-year-old Frazier sidelined for much of the season. Kay responded by tweeting that he was simply being “facetious.”
You know I was being facetious, right? https://t.co/bUZcZwzYXi

Despite Kay’s rationale however, Frazier fired back at him later in the evening. The former top prospect tweeted that, facetious or not, he did not appreciate the comments and that he was doing everything he could to get healthy.
.@RealMichaelKay facetious or not, I don’t appreciate what you said today. i’m doing everything I can to get healthy so I can play symptom free … so steer clear of publicly calling me out for not when we haven’t even had one convo about my concussion this year. #ShameOnYouBro

Frazier has not played since mid-July and has now missed all but 15 games in 2018 thanks to the recurring concussion symptoms. His absence (combined with injuries to Aaron Judge, Jacoby Ellsbury, and others) have left the second-place Yankees scrambling for outfield depth.
As for Kay’s comments, they come just months after Frazier had to deal with another headache from the media, so it’s safe to say that he’s pretty fed up.
