Dodgers fans boo Yasmani Grandal during latest atrocious game
Los Angeles Dodgers fans are absolutely done with Yasmani Grandal and let the catcher know it.
Grandal struck out in the third and again in the seventh, though he did bloop in a double in the fifth inning of Game 3 of the NLCS on Monday. But the bigger concern is how bad Grandal’s defense remains.
Grandal couldn’t handle a ball in the dirt in the top of the sixth, allowing Travis Shaw to score from third on a wild pitch to give the Milwaukee Brewers a 2-0 lead. A few innings later, Grandal was unable to catch a pitch from Alex Wood, allowing Ryan Braun to advance to second on a passed ball.
Dodgers fans began booing Grandal after his second passed ball. Some fans in Dodger Stadium began chanting, “We want Austin!”, which is a reference to backup catcher Austin Barnes.
A few folks who know the Dodgers depth chart are chanting "We want Austin!" after a passed ball from Yasmani Grandal. Sheesh.

Somewhat unbelievably, Grandal was even worse behind the plate in Game 1. He allowed two passed balls, committed an error and catcher’s interference.
Did we mention that Grandal entered the game 6-for-64 (.094) in his postseason career as a hitter?
