Turner has been out since breaking his wrist after being hit by a pitch on March 19 in spring training. The third baseman was cleared to begin hitting off a tee last week and still needs some time before being sent out on a rehab assignment.
Turner has been great since joining the Dodgers in 2014, but he took his game to the next level last season by batting .322 with a career-best .415 OBP and .530 slugging percentage. He was a giant in the postseason for the third straight year, hitting four home runs with 14 RBIs while taking home NLCS MVP honors.
The Dodgers were just 14-17 entering Friday’s game.
