Drew Pomeranz traded from Giants to Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers have added a valuable arm to their bullpen ahead of the trade deadline.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Brewers have acquired Drew Pomeranz and Ray Black from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for Mauricio Dubon.

Pomeranz had struggled as a starter this season, but was shifted to the bullpen in mid-July and has been excellent since. In 5.1 innings of relief, he’s walked one, struck out eight, and has yet to allow a run. It’s a small sample size to rely on, but the Brewers are clearly convinced by what they’ve seen that he can help them down the stretch.
