The Philadelphia Phillies have added a new luxury to their dugout, but some would call it a hazard.
A refrigerator has been installed in the home dugout at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pa. Matt Gelb of The Athletic shared a photo of the new addition on Monday.
The reporter jokingly asked fans how many games the new fridge will last before a Phillies player smashes it in frustration.

Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm is known for having a temper in the dugout. He even once cut his own face open while slamming a bat in anger. Bryce Harper has also had his fair share of dugout meltdowns, so most people feel it is only a matter of time before the glass on that new refrigerator winds up shattered.
Phillies fans, take your pick…

Which Phillies player smashes a bat at the in-dugout fridge first???

My money is on Bryce Harper https://t.co/GEefeB9YPE
Hopefully the refrigerator doors are made of shatter-proof glass. Otherwise, the Phillies might want to think about implementing a rule where all players and staffers have to wear protective eyewear in the dugout.
We have seen countless players beat up Gatorade coolers in the dugout over the years, so perhaps the Phillies are hoping the presence of the fridge will inspire more self control.
