The Atlanta Braves are breaking out all the stops for Opening Day on Thursday.
The team will host the Philadelphia Phillies at SunTrust Park in their season-opening game, which will be a fun-filled affair.
Hall of Famer Chipper Jones, who spent his entire 19-year career with the Braves, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. What’s also cool is that Georgia Bulldogs running back Nick Chubb will also be involved. He is set to say “play ball!” before the game commences.
In addition to Jones and Chubb’s roles in Opening Day for the Braves, Clay Cook will perform the national anthem, with four F-16s from the 55th Fighter Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base will perform a flyover.
Chubb, who rushed for 1,345 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, is preparing for the NFL Draft.
