Leave it to Jazz Chisholm Jr. to stir up some stuff even in victory.
Chisholm’s New York Yankees beat the Kansas City Royals 3-1 in Game 4 of their ALDS on Thursday night to win the series and advance to the ALCS. During the sixth inning of the game, the benches for both teams cleared over a tag from Anthony Volpe on Maikel Garcia at second base. Chisholm, who was playing third base, had come over to investigate the matter.
Garcia eventually headed back to his dugout, while the players from both sides dispersed.

After the game, Chisholm talked about the situation and said that Garcia was being a “sore loser.”
“I just felt like he tried to go and injure Volpe because he was being a sore loser. He was talking a lot on Instagram and Twitter and stuff. I do the same thing, but I’m not gonna go and try and injure somebody if they’re winning a game, and I didn’t like that so I told him we don’t do that on this side and I’m always gonna stick up for my guys,” Chisholm said after the game, via Yankees reporter Bryan Hoch.

The issue is in the past now that the Yankees have advanced. But this is just a reminder of what the Yankees are getting in Chisholm. He’s a good player but also someone who isn’t afraid to talk trash.
