Boston Red Sox outfielder Jonny Gomes seemed to enjoy is 2013 season more than any other in his 10-year MLB career. He and his beard became a symbol of success for the a city that was in need of a boost. And now, Gomes has a symbol of that success inked on his body for life.
Mike Napoli tweeted the photo you see above of a Red Sox World Series champions tattoo on Friday and later revealed that the owner of it is Gomes.

Who else? Gomes was a World Series hero for the Sox, so you can understand why he would want to commemorate that. And to those of you who say the beard in the tattoo is overwhelming, I remind you of this — so are the beards on their faces.
