Jose Fernandez’s grandma Olga has heartbreaking reaction to grandson’s death
Jose Fernandez’s death is about as tragic as can be and will be felt by many people for a long time.
The Miami Marlins All-Star pitcher died in a boating accident early Sunday at age 24. Fernandez was famously close with his grandmother, Olga, whom he credited for really getting him into baseball. He called her a “baseball freak” and said she used to play catch with him. Fernandez also talked about how much he wanted her to see him play.
One news channel in South Florida even spoke to her as she came out to a gate, and her reaction to the questions will break your heart:
Jose Fernandez's abuela Olga approached the fence at family home. When asked how she'd remember her grandson, she said "Don't even ask…" pic.twitter.com/Pm8b9BBm0g

According to ABC Local 10, two full buses of Marlins players and staffers headed over to visit Fernandez’s grandmother to try consoling her.
In this great video, Fernandez said that “everything I do is for her” when talking about his grandma.
