Livvy Dunne is pumped up about the news regarding her boyfriend Paul Skenes.
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced on Wednesday that Skenes is being promoted to the big club. He is set to make his pitching debut for the Pirates on Saturday.
Skenes, who was the No. 1 overall draft pick out of LSU in 2023, has been completely dominant in Triple-A this year. He has posted a 0.99 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with 45 strikeouts over 27.1 innings in seven starts for the Indianapolis Indians.
In addition to being known for his 100-mph fastball, Skenes is also known by some for dating Dunne, who is an extremely popular LSU gymnast.
Dunne shared her enthusiasm over the news involving Skenes with a post on her Instagram Story Wednesday. She re-posted a video shares by the Pirates regarding Skenes’ promotion and captioned it “here we go!”

The promotion of Skenes was an inevitability; it was just a question of when the Pirates would finally make the move.
Now fans will finally get to see one of the most anticipated pitching debuts since Stephen Strasburg in 2010. Dunne will be cheering as enthusiastically for Skenes as anyone.
