Matt Kemp appears to be dating Khloe Kardashian

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Dodgers fans, but it looks like Matt Kemp is dating Khloe Kardashian.

Kemp doesn’t use his social media accounts too often, but he did on Thursday to share a picture on Instagram of the Kardashian family Christmas tree.

“Best time of the year!! It’s gonna b a Cali Christmas this year,” he captioned the photo.

That’s the moment it looked like Kemp was going public about the relationship. Around the same time a gossip site was on to them.

Radar Online first reported the possibility of the relationship and pointed ou that Kemp and Kardashian have been living it up all over town together the past month.

Kardashian and Kemp were photographed together in the VIP section of the Drake concert in L.A. on November 25.

Days later, they were both at the December 1 John Legend concert at L.A.’s Nokia Theater.

And on December 9, they were both spotted at the Jay Z concert in L.A., which, ironically, Odom also attended.

Odom is of course Lamar Odom, who is Khloe’s soon-to-be ex-husband. She filed for divorce on Friday.

And then there was this photo of Kardashian supposedly following Kemp to the gym:

(side note: how could Kemp be leaving Kardashian’s home in Encino be the caption when that photo was taken in Beverly Hills?)

Words cannot express what a disastrous move this would be for Kemp.

Not only can he do so much better, but what the heck would he want with Khloe or anyone from the Kardashian Klan? Is he crazy? Getting involved in their drama is a death sentence. The last time Kemp went Hollywood was when he dated Rihanna in 2010. He experienced his worst season ever that year, batting a career-low .249 with 179 strikeouts. After breaking up with her, he bounced back to MVP form the next season, which helped him get a massive contract extension from the Dodgers.

There were rumors all offseason that the Dodgers might trade Kemp to address their outfielder surplus, but now it looks like they’re going to keep him. If he’s really dating Khloe, then I’d seriously encourage Ned Colletti to think about dealing him. That is just drama no athlete should become a part of.
